Bodegas Manzanos Campanas, founded in 1864, is the oldest winery in appellation Navarra. It is based in Campanas, in the north of the appellation, just on the road to Santiago. The winery used to be a pilgrim hostel.
Bodegas Manzanos Campanas was one of the founders of appellation Navarra. In the fifties it was the first winery to elaborate rosé, the wine that made this appellation famous. If there was a sign of identity that characterizes this winery it would be the fruitiness and freshness of its wines.
The winery is very close to the vineyards and it helps to keep the properties of the grape intact. Our vineyards are on average 15 to 20 years of age except for our grenache that comes from vines of more than 35 years old.
In Bodegas Manzanos Campanas we harvest the vines in Bush by hand and carefully choose the best grapes. We also use a harvesting machine for the ones trained on trellis. Our technical department follows the evolution of the biological cycle of the grape and decides on the treatments to make.
