The winemaking process at Domaine ROSTAING is free from artificial techniques or excessive intervention, ensuring that the hand-harvested grapes are treated with the utmost respect.

Domaine ROSTAING is a family-owned winery originating from the vineyards of Mr. René Rostaing, his father-in-law Mr. Albert Dervieux Thaize, and his uncle Mr. Marius Gentaz Dervieux. Today, the estate spans 8 hectares in Côte-Rôtie, 1 hectare in Condrieu, 2 hectares in IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, and 9 hectares in Languedoc. It is now managed by Pierre Rostaing, the son of René Rostaing.

At Domaine ROSTAING, the focus is on terroir and the distinctive character of each vineyard. The estate’s prestigious cuvées, Côte Blonde and La Landonne, offer wine enthusiasts a chance to experience the unique and diverse soils of Côte-Rôtie at their finest. Meanwhile, vineyards located outside these specific terroirs are blended into the Ampodium cuvée, creating a balanced expression of the appellation.

The Winery

Our vineyard is located in Langlade, 15 kilometres from Nîmes in the direction of Montpellier, on a mainly limestone sedimentary soil of former “garrigue” (scrub). The climate is hot and dry, adding power to the elegance conferred by the limestone.
While respecting regional typicity, a few touch of our northern techniques help to add further elegance and above all a faithful expression of the Terroir.
